Good to know
Questions, answered
The little things people ask most about ordering, ingredients, markets, gifting and more. Can't find what you're after? Just send a note, I read every one.
The caramels
A little about what makes them, well, them.
What makes Seagull Sweets caramels different?
They're the caramel I always wished I could find and never could, made with real butter, real cream and a proper pinch of sea salt, in small batches, every week. No shortcuts, no mystery ingredients. Just soft, chewy, handcrafted caramel with a bit of coastal character.
What flavours do you make?
How much is in each bag?
Each bag is approximately 100 g, or about 9 pieces: a lovely little treat for yourself, or a ready-to-gift size that doesn't need any extra wrapping.
Do you ship?
Yes, I ship across Canada! Everything's handmade in small batches on Vancouver Island, packed carefully, and sent out to arrive fresh. You can also catch us at markets around Victoria and the South Island. Shipping details and rates are added at checkout.
How long do the caramels last?
Approximately 9 months. They're at their softest and butteriest when fresh, so keep them somewhere cool and out of direct sun and they'll be lovely right through.
How should I store them?
Store at room temperature in a cool, dry spot.
Ingredients & nutrition
The honest details. Have an allergy question I haven't covered? Please just ask before ordering.
What's actually in them?
The base is simple: sugar, butter, cream, glucose, and sea salt. From there each flavour adds its own thing, like dark chocolate, roasted nuts, crushed pretzels, toasted coconut, or biscuit crumble. Full ingredient lists are printed on every bag.
Are there allergens I should know about?
Everything is made in a kitchen that handles dairy, wheat/gluten, nuts, peanuts, soy and barley, so even flavours without those ingredients may contain traces. Individual bags are labelled with their allergens. If you have a serious allergy, please message me before ordering and I'll walk you through it honestly.
Do you have anything gluten-free or vegan?
Several flavours are naturally gluten-free (the classic and nutty caramels among them), but they're made in a shared kitchen, so I can't guarantee zero cross-contact. The caramels are made with real butter and cream, so they aren't vegan. If dietary needs are a priority for you, drop me a line and I'll point you to the best options.
What are the nutrition facts?

Markets & stockists
Where to find us out in the wild.
Where can I buy in person?
You'll find us at markets and pop-ups across Victoria and the South Island most weekends, plus 11 local shops across Vancouver Island. Every shop, with its address and the flavours it carries, is on our stockists page, and market dates go up on Instagram each week.
How do I know where you'll be this weekend?
I post market dates and locations weekly on Instagram, and share them in the newsletter too. Follow along or subscribe so you never miss where we'll be.
Are you a BC / Island-made business?
Proudly so. Everything is handcrafted on the coast in Victoria, BC, and we're proud members of Buy BC and Island Good, the programs that celebrate local, made-in-BC and made-on-Vancouver-Island producers. We're a small, local, made-on-the-Island operation through and through.
Gifting
For the great gift-givers (our favourite kind of person).
Do the caramels make a good gift?
The best. The signature pink-striped bags are ready to gift as-is, and they're a lovely way to say thank you, congratulations, or "thinking of you." My honest tip: buy two, one to give and one to keep.
Wholesale
For shops, cafés and stockists.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes! I love partnering with local shops and cafés whose vibe matches ours. If you'd like to carry Seagull Sweets, fill in the stockist enquiry form (you can see our current stockists there too) or email seagullsweetsco@gmail.com and I'll send over the wholesale details.
What are your minimums and lead times?
They depend on the flavours and quantities, and I keep it friendly for small independent shops. Get in touch and we'll find something that works for both of us.
